This FREE community event will include a series of hockey skill sessions, friendly matches, and the opportunity to learn more about the School’s unique boarding program.
It is essential that your child is booked in the for the correct session based on their year group.
- Children up to Year 6 - 9.00am to 9.50am
- Children Year 7 to 8 - 10.00am to 10.50am
- Children Year 9 to 12 - 11.00am to 11.50am
Note: Each group will be supervised by a skilled hockey player, and participants are both boys and girls
Eddie Ockenden - Hockey Clinic Leader
Eddie is a four-time Olympian, including achieving silver at the 2021 Tokyo games, a bronze medal in Beijing 2008 when he was the youngest player on the Australian side, and bronze at the 2012 London games as well as multiple World Cup gold medals in 2010 and 2014.
Among many of his awards is his attainment of International Youth Player of the Year 2008, and within the Australian side as three-time Kookaburras' Player of the Year in 2010, 2014 and 2015.
Most recently, Eddie co-captained the Kookaburras, which took home the gold medal during the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
Participants must bring the following equipment on the day
- A mouthguard
- A hockey stick
- A water bottle
- Shin guards
- Goalie Pads - if you wish to play the goalkeeper position
